Derek Leslie is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years experience in finance, business planning, business development (including acquisitions and financing), business change, IT and systems, project management, corporate governance and management consulting, as well as 12 years as a Director of Finance in 3 large diverse organisations.
Having worked across multiple sectors, including Hospitality & Tourism as IT Director of Macdonald Hotels, Derek has undertaken a number of financial and business planning projects in the last few years and is currently an Expert Advisor for Business Gateway in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, focusing on financial, commercial and strategic advisory.
Throughout his career Derek's combination of finance and business planning expertise allows him to work with clients of all sizes, from Blue Chip organisations such as Diageo and Merrill Lynch, to community start-ups operating at both the strategic level and at the hands-on operational level, such as advising clients on margin and pricing strategies.

As part of the Delfinity team Derek leads on clients looking for clarity in options appraisal and associated financial modelling.
